In a virtual ceremony held on July 30, 2020, the United States Congress acknowledged the entire crew of USS Indianapolis CA-35 with a Congressional Gold Medal.  As stated in the bill, Congress authorized the United States Mint to provide a single gold medal to be displayed in the USS Indianapolis CA-35 museum gallery at the Indiana War Memorial, Indianapolis, Indiana.  Bronze replicas of the medal may be purchased from the Mint by family members, friends, and the general public.  Details on how to purchase are provided through this link.  In honor of this special occasion, the USS Indianapolis CA-35 Survivors Organization purchased bronze replicas which were presented to the eight remaining survivors on or near the date of the ceremony.
